Please give us a short summary of your website?

ROSE is an independent, non-profit organization established in 2001 with the aim of supporting and fostering education of underprivileged children in rural communities of developing countries. ROSE works on a fully voluntary basis, and organizes many cultural fund-raising events to collect money that are directly channeled to its numerous projects in India. Over the last 7 years, we have conducted more than 15 such fund-raising activities and funded more than 40 projects in around 15 states of India with great success. In our website, you can find all details about our projects, fund-raising events, you can subscribe and become a member, interact with us, give your donation if you feel like.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The great visibility

2001, ROSE vzw.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

The name reflects the contents of the website and the aim of our organization.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

Through our website it is possible to directly come into contact with our organization, and to get to know the activities that we are organizing in Belgium.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

The main goal is to reach more visibility and to sensitize people about human right to education.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Our organization had a huge success during the last 7 years. There is no time or money that pay off the satisfaction of working for a noble cause.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

We would increase promotion and advertisement of our group and its activities, for sure.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

yes, certainly.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

All costs related to administrative aspects, logistic aspects when organizing events.

What has been your biggest challenge?

We have challenges every day, there is not a biggest one.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Distributing flyers, sending emails to people we know, and circulating them.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

There is no difference with respect to our expectations.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

Since 2001, and we hope to keep on running it, without time limit.
