My website provides free information and useful memory techniques to help improve your memory
What inspired you to launch your own website?
From when I was young I've been fascinated by some peoples natural ability to memorize and recall information without breaking a sweat. I bought a memory course a few years ago and was hooked. I've also recently read about some good memory techniques. I feel that just like typing this is a skill that everyone should learn from a young age. My website strives to provide this information for free in a logical and easy way to learn.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Deciding on a name was actually quite easy. Seeing that site is about improving your memory I simply called it "How to improve your memory".
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
The information is completely free.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My eventual goal is to get as much traffic as possible to the website and receive success stories from people who it has helped.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
My only investment in this site so far has been time. Fortunately I receive free hosting for the site and have the knowledge to develop it myself. I will only really know if it is successful or not over time and by receiving positive feedback from viewers.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would hire a graphic designer to help me spruce up the graphics a bit.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I'm not sure. I think so. The real problem would be bandwidth usage. Fortunately the site is mainly text based so shouldn't be too much of a problem.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Nothing as yet.
What has been your biggest challenge?
This site hasn't been much of a challenge. It has actually been a pleasure to put together.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
As this is a new site nothing as yet. I'm hoping it will be search engines and online directories.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
It's only be running for a few weeks now. I plan to keep it going indefinitely. With this website I'm not interested in any commercial gain just the satisfaction of knowing that people out there are learning how to improve their memories.
