Name of your website?

Teach All Kids

Your name?

Linda Derman

Your Location (city, etc)

Delta

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Teach All Kids is designed to help teach students with learning difficulties. Inside this site, you'll find teaching advice, ideas, techniques and proven educational worksheets. The areas covered include math, reading comprehension, language arts, grammar, thinking skills, dot patterns, ESL and complete lessons. Together, we can Teach All Kids.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I am a teacher by profession and I have been working with children and adults with learning difficulties for many years. Recently, I started a website called Teach All Kids because I truly believe it is possible, with the right techniques, to teach all kids even those with learning disabilities.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I want to help others Teach All Kids, especially those dealing with students that have learning difficulties.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

The Teach All Kids site offers practical advice and proven techniques. I have devised a simple but invaluable tool – dot patterns. If I was allowed to add just one thing to every curriculum, it would be mandatory Dot Patterns for every student but especially for students that struggle and/or reverse their letters. Math should be taught by showing students the system that explains the hows and whys in the world of mathematics. Reading should be mastered by using a decoding method. Writing can be improved by giving the students a simple formula.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Forums discussion groups have proven the most direct way of reaching the right audience.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

The Teach All Kids website has been running since August 2008. I hope to keep it going indefinitely.

What is your website address?

Teach All Kids
